Desiree Robinson – Head of Nursing

At AHP, we believe in investing in the future of healthcare by supporting new graduates through our comprehensive New Graduate Program. Our program offers a structured and supportive environment for recent graduates to learn and develop their skills in the healthcare industry. We provide access to experienced mentors, ongoing training and development opportunities, and a clear path for career growth. Our goal is to empower new graduates to build successful careers in healthcare, and we are committed to providing the resources they need to achieve their goals. With our focus on developing the next generation of healthcare professionals, we are ensuring that our company remains at the forefront of the industry for years to come.

As a healthcare company, our success is built on the strength of our people. At AHP, we are committed to attracting and retaining the best talent in the industry, and that means investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals. We believe that supporting new graduates is not only the right thing to do, but it also helps us to build a stronger, more diverse workforce. One of our core values is to provide ongoing education and training opportunities for our employees, and our comprehensive new grad program is a reflection of this commitment. By offering a clear career path and investing in the professional development of our new graduates, we are building a foundation for long-term success and growth as a company.

Speech Therapy

Our speech pathologists specialise in evaluating and treating impaired speech, eating, and swallowing challenges, as well as a variety of neurological and functional speech difficulties. Our aim is to enhance communication through the safest means possible.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists work with residents to improve their ability to perform and participate in daily activities. The objective of occupational therapy is to increase mobility, independence, and active participation, working around those impairments so residents can enjoy participating in everyday activities.

AHP physiotherapists are experts in developing full treatment, preventative, and rehabilitative physiotherapy plans for residents with acute or chronic conditions. We ensure that the quality of our services remains at the highest level to motiviate and inspire residents.

Our Growth Culture

Fostering continuous learning and development.

At AHP, our growth culture is what drives us to continously improve and provide the highest quality healthcare services. We foster a culture of learning and development, offering regular career development opportunities for all team members. As part of this, we provide our nurses with access to ongoing education and training to enhance their skills and knowledge. Our nursing team is supported by experienced mentors and leaders, who work collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for our partners. Through our commitment to growth and development, we create a rewarding and fulfilling work environment for our team members.

Investing in the Future of Healthcare

At AHP, we believe that investing in the development of new graduates is crucial to the future of healthcare. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care possible, and that begins with ensuring that our team members have the knowledge and support they need to succeed. We understand that starting a career in healthcare can be challenging, and that’s why we’ve developed a comprehensive New Graduate Program to provide a structured and supportive environment for recent graduates. We offer ongoing training, access to experienced mentors, and a clear path for career growth, all designed to empower new graduates to build successful careers in healthcare. By investing in our team members, we’re not only improving their lives but also the lives of the participants they serve, and that’s what our mission is all about.

Building Successful Careers

We are committed to uplifting and empowering new nurses as they enter the healthcare industry. We believe that by providing a supportive and nurturing environment, we can help new nurses build successful and fulfilling careers. Our goal is to provide new nurses with the resources they need to develop their skills, gain confidence, and make meaningful contributions to the healthcare community. Through our comprehensive training programs, ongoing mentorship, and career development opportunities, we aim to help new nurses thrive in their roles and make a positive impact on participant care. Opportunities Australia-Wide

Relocation Support

We understand that relocating to a new city can be daunting; that’s why at Australian Health Professionals, we offer support for new graduate nurses that extends outside the workplace.

AHP are passionate about education, learning, supporting our staff, and encouraging new graduates to enter aged care. Often times, new grads are relocated or placed into a facility with limited to no support from a fellow nurse. Our New Graduate Program has been implemented to address these concerns.

At AHP, we employ nurses to work in our head office. These nurses are responsible for ensuring clinical education is provided to all AHP staff on a regular basis. With AHP, you can have the opportunity to work in a dementia specific, unit, develop your skills as a care manager, or develop your skills as an operational manager. We strive to be innovative in the roles we provide.
